Before I proceed with this, I should probably put a huge disclaimer. I am not much of a coffee. But @NairobiCaffeine has been trying to woo me into loving it by tagging me along on his Caffeine Adventures. Having heard and read so much about this café, I finally decided to go check it out.
Pointzero Cofee is located at the garden of the Nairobi Gallery. The set-up is quite simple but chic and refreshing. There are wooden tables and foldable lawn chairs with cushions and Ankara detailing. The seating areas is surrounded by a potted plants and wooden slats on one side.
Pointzero specializes in the selling of only coffee and accompaniments; a breath of fresh air in the sea of Nairobi “coffee houses”. This place is a total win for those folks who go into a coffee house expecting just that; coffee! Good coffee for that matter.
I wanted something mild. Both the Barista and my guide for the day,@Nairobicaffeine, recommended the Caramel Macchiato. There was a buy one get one free offer so I settled on a Mocha for my second cup. My host, being a caffeine junky, chose the coffee of the day and a cappuccino. Both of my coffees were amazing!
Tried to sample the “harder” coffees that my host was taking and I concluded that they were not my thing 😀 Coffee lovers will probably enjoy them!
What to love about Pointzero?
Their mugs and saucers are so cute. I’d go back there just to cuddle them
The cakes are DIVINE! I got to sample the Butterscotch, Spicy orange, Lemon and carrot cakes. Absolutely fantastic…and fresh!
The service is great! Very friendly staff.
I loved the creative décor of the place. The Ankara details , wood and potted plants makes the whole place super cool.
If you order house coffee, the re-fill is FREE! Aye?
The Wi-Fi is fast!!
There is no congestion. Place is so cosy and chilled . I’d recommend taking someone for a first date here *wink*
They actually brought us a charcoal warmer to keep us warm when the evening cold started creeping in. Now that’s superb customer service!
It’s pretty affordable!!
Probably the coolest coffee house I have ever been to in a while. If there’s an Iron Throne for Coffee Houses in the CBD, then House Pointzero are the reigning lords.
